My computer skills are fairly simple and based on debian-linux which I have run for several years now. When I began with computers a friend started me on debian and commented that if I began with linux it would become just the norm for me. Then some six months ago I heard about open VMS and have found it kinda fun wandering around the command line on the deathrow cluster. My local secondhand book shop even had a copy of "VAX/VMS - mastering DCL commands and utilities (1990)" which has been a great navigator. I don't work in computing but when I get the chance its kinda fun dabbleing and the dabbleing I have done recently with openVMS is fun. I've found something excellent. Thankyou and cheers for sites like this.
The hobbyist media has arrived in the mail, so now it there should be lots of interesting and fun things to do. : )
