Firstly, I want to thank any and everyone who made this hobbyist program possible. I'm having tons of fun trying to get my rx2600 going.
I've managed to get my system up and running, but I'm in need of the compilers. I'm particularly interested in the fortran compiler because I have some old VAX Fort programs that I want to try. If I'm not mistaken, the compilers are contained in the Layered Products Disk, which I don't have.
Is there anyone in the Sacramento or Bay Area that would be willing to to let me borrow the compiler installs? Is it legit if someone sent me the installation packages?
The C/C++ compiler would be great too. I plan to do most of my new development in Python, but coding in the Cs is where I'm most comfortable.
Thanks for any help. I look forward to everyone's guidance, and I hope to help give back to this site which has been so helpful thus far.
malmberg December 12 2017 HPE only makes the most current version of OpenVMS Alpha / IA64 /VAX available to hobbyists. When I had access to the Alliance 1 program it was the same. No public downloads are allowed by HPE.

malmberg September 10 2017 https://sourceforge.net/p /vms-ports/wiki/VMSInstal lation/ For the most part just use VMS 6.1 media instead of 7.3. But why run the older release?
DoeveR August 07 2017 Where can I find the write up on running VMS 6.1 using the simh emulator?
