I'm trying to imbeded a "$LOGOUT" into a .com but i'm always getting a error
i think i understand why the error occure but would like a fix for it..
what are your suggestion?
there is my sample file with error:
$ TYPE DELTEST.COM
$! EMBEDDED DCL "LOGOUT" INTO A SCRIPT
$ LOGOUT
$ EXIT !USELESS BUT WHY NOT..
$ @DELTEST.COM
%DCL-W-STKOVF, command procedures too deeply nested - limit to 32 levels
$
I think that the logout does't occure cause by the fact there is still process running, in this case deltest.com.
How can i call a logout from a script?
I understand that the current user will be logout immediatly and that what I want.

There's no reason for LOGOUT not to work in a script. There must be something else wrong. Is that all there is in the script? The error message implies that the script is reinvoking itself.

you were right.
something was wroong somewhere..
i reboot my alpha and it is now working..
i did a regular logout prior to reboot the alpha and the problem was still there..
so i still dont know what it was and until the same problem comme back i will put this on the ice..
thanks for you for having me kicking my alpha in the bus.
