Does anybody know where, or from whom could I obtain OpenVMS 7.3-2 installation disc? I own a licence and have a contract with HP for support, but HP's answer is that they have simply disconntinued sending out discs for that version. They are willing to send me the 8.3 version discs. Unfurtunately, the database software that we are running on VMS does not work on any openVMS version newer than 7.3-2. Any sugestions are appreciated. Please help!
Furter, is anybody aware of a way to make a copy of an openVMS installation disc?
Can it be done on a windows machine?
Most importantly, is there somebody out there willing to sell the original installation discs for OpenVMS 7.3-2?

This site used to sell V7.3-2 until recently; perhaps HobbyistOne has some leftovers?
Non-privileged binary images built for 7.3-2 should just work on any later version of Alpha VMS.
It is considered routine to be able to run images from Alpha VMS 6.x to VMS 8.4 with no modifications.
There really should be nothing in a database product that prevents it from running on a newer version of VMS, unless they have put a test in their code.
VMS installation disks can be copied with tools that can make an exact copy of a disk.
One technique is to use the LD logical disk utility to make file with the disk image, and then binary copy the disk image to a PC. Some burner software requires that the disk image file have the extension ".iso" in order to burn it, even though it will not be in ".iso" format.
