I have an Alpha that I want to upgrade to the 8.3 Hobbyist kit without having to start over. In reading the supported upgrade paths in the docs, I find that I need to do an intermediate update to 7.3-2 before going to 8.3.
I've already checked and HobbyistOne doesn't have any of the older 7.3-2 hobbyist media left over. There isn't even a media part number listed in the 7.3-2 SPD, so I can't have my local HP office order it for me either...
So, the big question. Does anyone have one they would be willing to part with or even loan for a week or so?
If you want it back, I'd be happy reimburse you for the postage to get it to me and send it back to you after I get the box up to 8.3.
If you have one or would be willing to lend it for a brief period, please let me know. You can post or PM me through the forum here and I'll send you my contact info if you can lend me a hand with this.
RE: Anyone still have OpenVMS 7.3-2 media or hobbyist kit
malmberg December 12 2017 HPE only makes the most current version of OpenVMS Alpha / IA64 /VAX available to hobbyists. When I had access to the Alliance 1 program it was the same. No public downloads are allowed by HPE.

malmberg September 10 2017 https://sourceforge.net/p /vms-ports/wiki/VMSInstal lation/ For the most part just use VMS 6.1 media instead of 7.3. But why run the older release?
DoeveR August 07 2017 Where can I find the write up on running VMS 6.1 using the simh emulator?
