Hello to all OpenVMS hackers & fanatics around!
I am deeply interested in studying past of DEC and their technologies. My interests mostly related to technical side as to example of uniform, qualitative and uncompromise system design. Pity, but these design goals are very uncommon these days.
Part of my interests involves searching for rare and forgotten software artifacts. So now I'm searching for VAX OpenVMS related software. I am already have in my archives OpenVMS 6.1, 7.2, 7.3 including layered products. I also have VAX/VMS 5.5 but unforunately without layered products. So I am asking for help to all of you, friends. Please, if you have VAX/VMS related software up to 5.5 contact me. Minor goal is to find VAX/VMS 5.5 layered products CD or compilers and TCP/IP packages at least. Major goal is to find most earlier versions of VAX/VMS.
Do not let to lost forever past VAX/VMS marvels...

I think that I have a V4.7 system backup still around. I might try to restore it to a disk. I don't recall whether it was backup or DSC thaat was used...

I should have all the media from V5.4 onward though (maybe some earlier as well)

I am already found VMS 5.4 with layered products and ODL (thank you, SMS!). But anything earlier (layered products, ODL, VMS) will be of great interest to me! Please, can you try to restore 4.7 and put it online?

Shouldn't your username be Pinocchio? (Since that's the correct spelling.)

No more VAX hobbyist licenses. Community licenses for Alpha/IA64/X86_64 VMS Software Inc. Commercial VMS software licenses for VAX available from HPE.

Just re-visiting.. No more hobbyist licenses? Is that from vmssoftware.com, no 'community' licenses?

I recall that the disks failed on the public access VMS systems that included Fafner

Anyone know what happened to FAFNER.DYNDS.ORG? I had a hobbyist account here but can longer access the site.

At one time, didn't this web site have a job board? I would love to use my legacy skills one last time in my career.

New Hobbyist PAKs for VAX/VMS are no longer available according to reports. Only commercial licenses are reported to be for sale from HPE

Eisner, which is currently being moved, got an SSH update and the keys were updated to more modern encryption standards.
