Hello,
is there a list of all Licence PAKs available in the openvms-hobbyist-program at openvms.org? I'm in need for an update to VMS7.x/RDB7.x from my current VMS 5.5-2 with RDB 4.2 on a VaxSation 4000-90.
I'm asking because I'm not sure if a registration at one of the User Groups can help me to get the needed Licences. Becoming a member of the german "connect" User Group is charged with 100€ per year and the membership-registration at Decuserve is said to take one week (http://www.decuserve.org/hobbyist.html).

Regard,
Michael

I am not sure how long registration with decuserve/encompasserve takes. Basically they give you a number when you sign up that you can submit to register for licenses. I do not think you have to wait any time to do so.

VAX/VMS, TCPIP, DECW-Motif and compilers are definitely included. I am not sure of the complete list, but it is large.

RDB is now an Oracle product, so it is not included in the HP Hobbyist program.

The last time I checked, which was a while ago, if you joined the Oracle Development Network, RDB was a free download and license for development use only.

Thanks for your reply,
decus says on their homepage that they transmit new membership informations weekly to openvms. I registerted at decus yesterday and tried to register today at openvms.org, what succeeded: The confirmation + Licence PAKs came in via Mail a few hours later. Also the VAX Media-Kits after my reply concerning the desired Architecture.
I also found the list a was asking for online (http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvmsedu/prodlist.html) after some search.

RDB is still missing and VAX downloads not available anymore, but i wrote an e-mail to one of the Oracle RDB Support Managers (found here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/products/rdb/community/index-090642.html) and hope i will get an (positve) answer.

No more VAX hobbyist licenses. Community licenses for Alpha/IA64/X86_64 VMS Software Inc. Commercial VMS software licenses for VAX available from HPE.

Just re-visiting.. No more hobbyist licenses? Is that from vmssoftware.com, no 'community' licenses?

I recall that the disks failed on the public access VMS systems that included Fafner

Anyone know what happened to FAFNER.DYNDS.ORG? I had a hobbyist account here but can longer access the site.

At one time, didn't this web site have a job board? I would love to use my legacy skills one last time in my career.

New Hobbyist PAKs for VAX/VMS are no longer available according to reports. Only commercial licenses are reported to be for sale from HPE

See the forum about licensing. Don't know if HPE hobby licenses still being issued. Commercial licenses still being sold.

Eisner, which is currently being moved, got an SSH update and the keys were updated to more modern encryption standards.
