I have an error message when trying to start DECNET on a VAX after restoring the system disk.

I have setup the SYSGEN parameters
SCSNODE "MRPDR1 " " " " " "ZZZZ" Ascii
SCSSYSTEMID 1485 0 0 -1 Pure-numbe

and also the NETCONFIG
What do you want your DECnet node name to be? [MRPDR1]:
What do you want your DECnet address to be? [1.461]:

But when I try and start DECNET it gives
MRPDR1 >>@sys$manager:startnet
DECnet nodename of local node must match VAXcluster nodename.
DECnet not started.

Where do I find what the VAXCluster nodename is set to?

MRPDR1's system disk got corrupted so I had the internal disk replaced and copied MRPDR2's system disk. I changed the SCSNODE to be MRPDR1 and the SCSSYTEMID to 1485, I have now discovered that this should have been 1483 as the Decnet address should have been 1.459. I am guessing that I have missed something as when I start Decnet on MRPDR2 it gives
NCP>sh kn nodes

Known Node Volatile Summary as of 18-NOV-2008 11:05:32

Executor node = 1.462 (MRPDR2)

State = on
Identification = DECnet for OpenVMS VAX V6.1

Node State Active Delay Circuit Next node

1.105 (MRPDR) ISA-0 1.15
1.451 (QSR5) ISA-0 1.15
1.452 (QSR6) ISA-0 1.15
1.466 (TSAL01) ISA-0 1.15
0 (MRPDR1) ISA-0

This means if I SET HOST MRPDR1 it does a loopback to MRPDR2

No more VAX hobbyist licenses. Community licenses for Alpha/IA64/X86_64 VMS Software Inc. Commercial VMS software licenses for VAX available from HPE.

Just re-visiting.. No more hobbyist licenses? Is that from vmssoftware.com, no 'community' licenses?

I recall that the disks failed on the public access VMS systems that included Fafner

Anyone know what happened to FAFNER.DYNDS.ORG? I had a hobbyist account here but can longer access the site.

At one time, didn't this web site have a job board? I would love to use my legacy skills one last time in my career.

New Hobbyist PAKs for VAX/VMS are no longer available according to reports. Only commercial licenses are reported to be for sale from HPE

Eisner, which is currently being moved, got an SSH update and the keys were updated to more modern encryption standards.
