I ordered the OpenVMS Alpha 8.3 media kit over two months ago and still have not received it. I got the VAX kit in about six weeks, but the Alpha kit is the main one that I wanted.

They take ages Dave - my Vax kit took weeks and I still haven't received my Alpha one yet.
I think it's just one person doing it and it is very much as-and-when he has the time to do it. They don't seemt to respond to emails.

I ordered my Alpha media kit on September 9 and it still has not arrived. I understand that these kits are being fulfilled by a hobbyist in his spare time, but 2+ months seems like a fair amount of time to get a simple CD in the mail.... |

I just remembered that I ordered and Alpha kit in June this year. Still no sign of it. |

Has it arrived yet? Either way, HP should be in charge now of both license and media kit distribution. I think they're planning to distribute CD/DVD images for download, rather than to have to order these Hobbyist media kits.
I hope you'll still give VMS a chance!

And still no Alpha media kit for me! This must be a record - I ordered my on 17-JUN-2011.
