I wonder if it possible to start TCP/IP from different drive where system is running? I have two mounted system images with VMS 5.5-2
Another has only DECNET when another has also TCP/IP support. I want to boot from "DECNET-ONLY"-image so, that it loads UCX from another image. I don´t want to install TCP/IP support to that "DECNET ONLY" drive.
The short answer is yes, although it will be a bit of work. You'll have to redefine the TCP/IP logicals to point to the other drive. Boot up the image with TCP/IP installed and do a SHOW LOGICAL TCP* to get and idea of what needs to be redefined.
