I have installed on 'Personal Alpha' and wanted to enter my license.
This is the result:
Here is a list of the license information just entered:
Issuer: OPENVMS_HOBBYIST
Authorization: DECUS-DEU-026168079-1231581
Product Name: OPENVMS-ALPHA
Producer: DEC
Units: 0
Release Date:
Version:
Termination Date: 11-JUL-2009
Availability:
Activity: A
Options:
Token:
Hardware ID:
Checksum: x-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Is that correct? [YES]:
Registering OPENVMS-ALPHA license in SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]LMF$LICENSE.LDB...
%LICENSE-F-BADCHK, checksum does not validate for OPENVMS-ALPHA
Please review all entered PAK data, including the checksum.
I have tried with Product Name: OPENVMS, same procedure.
What can I do? |

This is an easy one: you forgot to enter the OPTIONS value NO_SHARE. I'm fairly sure it's there in the hobbyist PAK (it is in mine).
Like Hoff said: it's easier to copy and paste the DCL command that registers the license, followed by a
$ LICENSE LOAD (product-name)

Thank you,
Options: NO_SHARE works fine.
How can I set TCPIP, it tells me that I have no license. |

The TCP/IP license is (for historical reasons) called UCX.
It's in the bundle of 104 PAKs for layered products you can register for here.
Technically, you best set up TCP/IP using the command procedure
SYS$MANAGER:TCPIP$CONFIG.COM

have you done the LIC LOAD UCX command?
Then do
@SYS$MANAGER:TCPIP$CONFIG.COM |
