I was able to access eisner.decuserve.org a week ago but so far this week it has been inaccessible via ssh, telnet, http, etc. Is it just me?

I understand there were plans to move to a new server announced in November, could it be this is currently in progress?

Thanks!

Yup - the move is underway, EISNER:: may not come back on the air until shortly after the new year. Check back "here", or on comp.os.vms for announcements.

Just logged in. Appears to have just come back online today?

Interestingly enough, I just got my own emulated Alpha back up and running this evening. The planets must be aligned...

Congrats on the move!

Eisner is currently down as it needed to be removed from Nemonix when the people providing hosting formed VMS Software Inc and had to move it to it to the new home for VMS Software Inc.

It appears that it will be at least 1 to 2 more weeks before it is back up.

It took much longer than anticipated, but EISNER has been back up and running for a couple of months now.

No more VAX hobbyist licenses. Community licenses for Alpha/IA64/X86_64 VMS Software Inc. Commercial VMS software licenses for VAX available from HPE.

Just re-visiting.. No more hobbyist licenses? Is that from vmssoftware.com, no 'community' licenses?

I recall that the disks failed on the public access VMS systems that included Fafner

Anyone know what happened to FAFNER.DYNDS.ORG? I had a hobbyist account here but can longer access the site.

At one time, didn't this web site have a job board? I would love to use my legacy skills one last time in my career.

New Hobbyist PAKs for VAX/VMS are no longer available according to reports. Only commercial licenses are reported to be for sale from HPE

See the forum about licensing. Don't know if HPE hobby licenses still being issued. Commercial licenses still being sold.

Eisner, which is currently being moved, got an SSH update and the keys were updated to more modern encryption standards.
